My enjoyment of the book was definitely enhanced by Alison Kent's superb writing which flows so effortlessly. She brilliantly captures all the subtle nuances in Michelle and Todd's relationship: sharing, respect, trust, commitment, intimacy and passion. Her narrative is so evocative and she is able to paint such wonderful pictures with her words. For example, I love Todd's impressions of Michelle when he first meets her and I could just imagine his mouth watering at the sight before him!
