FEATURE and GIVEAWAY: Deadly Heat and Deadly Lies by Cynthia Eden

Yes, we have 3 sets to give away and each set contains the upcoming releases of Cynthia Eden in the Deadly Series: Deadly Heat (Feb) and Deadly Lies (March)! Awesome, isn't it?

Book 2: Deadly Heat

She wants revenge . . .

Six months after her lover died in an arsonist's blaze, firefighter Lora Spade calls in the FBI's elite Serial Services Division to track the elusive killer. When Special Agent Kenton Lake is lured into a violent inferno, Lora pulls him to safety and is stunned - not by the fire, but by her own searing attraction to Kent. For the first time in months, she longs for something other than vengeance.

He wants her . . .

Kenton's interest in Lora should be purely professional. But one fleeting kiss and he can't get her out of his mind. Her combination of strength and vulnerability makes him want to protect her, and that means solving this case - and fast. For even the passion igniting between them can't hide a terrifying truth: Lora is the next target in a murderer's sadistic, fiery game.

A vicious killer wants only . . . DEADLY HEAT

Book 3: Deadly Lies

She wants to hide the past

FBI Special Agent Samantha Kennedy is haunted by memories of the serial killer who abducted her. To keep the darkness at bay, she pretends to be a different, more confident woman. This Samantha doesn't fear every unknown face. So she throws caution to the wind and shares a night of unbridled passion with a handsome stranger.

He needs to uncover the truth

One night isn't enough for successful entrepreneur Max Ridgeway. He wants more of the sexy, smart, mysterious woman who slipped away before dawn. When they meet again, their attraction is undeniable-until his stepbrother goes missing, and Max realizes that Samantha isn't who she seems. But they must trust each other to trap a ring of bloodthirsty kidnappers before the nightmares that terrorize Sam become irrevocably real.

As a merciless criminal spins a web of . . .DEADLY LIES

Good Morning,

I am new to Romantic Suspense and my question is this:

Ms. Eden, how difficult is it to switch from writing an intense thriller scene to an intense romantic scene? Do you have to be in a certain frame of mind for each?

Hi Cynthia! Just dropping by to wish you good luck with the new release. Can't wait to read it.

Hi, Carole! Thanks so much for hosting the giveaway! :-)

Great question, Michelle! And I do need to be in a certain frame of mind to switch scenes. Usually I break after writing a big action scene because I usually write those scenes as quickly as I can (in one big chunk of time). So after the action, my mind is a little like mush. I take some time, regroup, and then switch focus depending on the type of scene that is coming up.

Hi, Caridad! :-) Thank you!

Oh this looks like a great series. I'm not sure how I ever missed seeing it! Thank you for coming on and making we want it a lot this morning.
My Question is: Do you the author, choose the titles on your books? Or does the publisher?

thank you so much.

I cannot wait to read this series. My question is: Do you ever get posters of your covers? They would look great around the house.
The series looks fantastic. Thank you for the opportunity.

Hello Cynthia!

I can't tell you how excited I am for these two books! I love to read romantic suspense. The more danger the better the story in my opinion. Good luck with your new release!

Hi, Teril! Thanks for checking out the post and giveaway! My publisher always has the final say when it comes to titles. I make suggestions and we toss ideas around, but the final say (at both Kensington and Brava) is the publisher's.

LOL, Kaya, I do! I actually send out posters to booksellers, and I usually have a few extra left. :-) And glad you think the series looks good!

Thank you, Carole! So happy to hear you enjoyed Deadly Fear!

Thank you, tradingaddress.:-)

Cynthia Eden said...

Ah, Wendy, if only! That would be fun! But, no, that's up to the publisher. If I really disagree wtih a cover, I can argue for a change, but I've been cover lucky so far.

Thank you, Larena! I really like the back to back release schedule.

Hi, StacieDM! Thank you! And I also like the idea of the moer danger, the better!

Thanks, elaing8! So far, there are just the 3 books, but I do have ideas for more.

I follow on GFC.

My question:
Were you overflowing with ideas or just too much to fill one book so is that why you released 3 books in a series so close together?
(it is actually very convenient for readers as they won't get confused about how many books are in the series)

Hi, Cynthia.

I look forward in starting the Deadly series; it sounds great.

I love the series' book covers, too. Do you work closely with the artist to create them?

Thanks,

Hi, PoCoKat! I sold these 3 Deadly books together with one contract, and when we presented the proposal, I already had ideas for all 3 stories. So I just got busy and wrote as quickly as I could! :-)

Thanks, Jane! I really enjoyed writing these books.

Cynthia Eden said...

Hi, Leagh! Thank you! So glad you enjoyed Deadly Fear! I do have ideas for more books, but they aren't contracted yet. Just ideas spinning in my head.

Thanks, Tracey! And, oh, I wish I'd gotten to work closely with the artist--what a fun job! But, no, I wasn't very involved in the covers. My job was to squeal with excitement and say how much I loved the covers.

Thank you, Danielle!
