#TRRparty #Featured #Book Undercover Obsession by BJ Wane

Link: Pink Flamingo

Piper Winters first met Brody Pearce when he accompanied her adoptive father, Charles Sandoval, to visit her in Geneva. Believing a man as sexy and enigmatic as him wouldn't be interested in an overweight, shy college kid didn't keep her from wanting him. When Brody arrives without Charles the weekend of her graduation, Piper lets yet another disappointment from Charles overrule her common sense and seduces Brody into spending the night. When Brody leaves abruptly the next morning after receiving a phone call that raised her suspicions, Piper decides she's had enough evasiveness and subterfuge from both Charles and Brody and sets out to confront them. But when she arrives in Atlantic City and spies on the private party Charles is hosting at his casino, she learns more about her father and Brody than she ever wanted to know.

For five years Brody has tried to forget the shock of seeing Piper witnessing the assassination attempt on Charles Sandoval, the man he was working undercover for in an attempt to use his alleged connection to a notorious drug lord in order to bring his organization down. He also tried, and failed, to forget the one night he had her soft body next to him and her eager response to the hard slaps he had landed on her lush ass.

When he hears Piper's missing, both Brody and his partner, Ian, rush to Missouri in search of her only to be shocked to find her in her bed, her body suffering the effects of a powerful aphrodisiac. Over the next week, Brody and Ian use every means necessary to rein in Piper's independent, feisty nature in order to keep her safe from the escalating threats aimed at her. Unfortunately, the sexual discipline they subject her to is met with her wholehearted enthusiasm for everything they dished out, making it impossible for Brody to keep doing right by her. Nothing is as it seems in Missouri or at the casino but this time Brody wasn't going to let anything stop him from going after the woman who was perfect for him.

FEATURE and GIVEAWAY: Bucked by Cat Johnson

Book Interview on January 2011

Cat, thank you so much for taking time out of your hectic schedule to answer these questions about your book. We're really excited to have the opportunity to do this. "Let's Buck", Y'all!

Thanks! It's my pleasure to tell you more about my series.

Q: Why did you decide to write a series about bull-riders? How did the idea come about?

It kind of came about by accident--or perhaps it's more poetic to call it serendipity? Or maybe desperation? LOL Anyway, here is the story. My editor at my former publisher (Linden Bay Romance, which was acquired by Samhain Publishing a few years ago) asked me for a menage book. I told her I'd think about it, but until I had a compelling idea for one, I wasn't going to try.

I had been concentrating on writing military romance and was in constant contact with a deployed soldier for those. One day, my military guy says, "Hey, my Bravo team leader used to be a rodeo cowboy before he joined the Army. Can you use that idea for a book?" I said, "Uh, yeah!! And why didn't you tell me this before?!"

From that one kernel of an idea, the story of Rough Stock (my first cowboy menage) emerged--2 cowboys, both in love with the farmer's daughter. One becomes a rodeo champion, the other joins the Army. However, I had my cowboys be saddle bronc riders because I own horses and, silly author that I am, I thought, how hard could it be to write and research rodeo? Right?

Wrong!! I found I could only find so much info online. I knew I'd get killed by readers who knew the sport if I wasn't accurate in the book so, as an act of desperation, I did a People Search on Myspace for "rodeo cowboys" and I found one. He was a student at Oklahoma State University, had been on the rodeo team at his junior college (NEO) and was willing to answer my questions. He got me through writing Rough Stock, though he was a bull rider and that's what he knew most about. So it was a no brainer that the next book, another cowboy menage, should be about bull riders!

That was also about the time that the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) was really coming into its own as a televised sport, so I found I could watch hours of bull riding on television, and take notes while listening to the announcers. It really helped with the writing.

Q: How did you end up with the idea to have Mustang go into porn?

Ha! Well that I have to attribute to...

REVIEW: Safe Surrender by Kristin Daniels

ISBN 9781603104746
Genre: Contemporary Erotic Romance with Menage
(c) May 2010, Red Sage Publishing
Kristin Daniel's website

Rating: 2 stars

Available at Red Sage Publishing (ebook).

I recommend this book to readers who enjoy hot erotica with ménage, as this book has plenty of heat and the author writes very vivid sex scenes. Unfortunately there was very little relationship development and depth of plot in this book.

Carli is a woman who has recently lost her sister to a drug overdose and decides to get in good with the drug dealer to get revenge. She manages to get revenge but she also manages to get on the drug dealers to kill list. The book starts out great with a gun fight between the detectives and the drug dealer’s crew. At this point Carli is saved from being shot down herself by Wes, the police detective. Carli provides vital information to the detectives about the drug dealer. She is then placed under witness protection.

Wes and Ian, his longtime friend and partner, are assigned to her protection. Both Wes and Ian are attracted to Carli but Ian has problems with forming relationships with women so Wes is the one who ends up bonding with Carli and offering her comfort. I’m sure you can see where it goes from there. The situation is further complicated by a big secret Wes is keeping from Carli and Ian.

The whole book takes place within a couple days' time frame so there isn’t really much romantic development. It’s more like introductions then sex. Wes offers distraction from her current situation by having sex with her, and the ultimate distraction would be by having sex with both him and Ian at the same time. Wes's big secret when it was finally revealed, in my opinion, was not so substantial.

I do have to say that there were some pretty hot sex scenes in this book and if that’s the type of mood you're in and don't care much about plot and relationship development, then this would be the book for you. Unfortunately, I like a good story as much as hot and steamy scenes so this book wasn't really for me and that's why I gave this book 2 stars.

REVIEW: Laid Bare by Lauren Dane

ISBN 978-0425229712
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Erotic Romance, Ménage, BDSM
(c) August 2009, Berkley Heat
Lauren Dane's website

Rating: 4 stars

Available at Book Depository (print).

Bodies aren't the only things that erotic author Lauren Dane laid bare in her novel by the same name. Souls and hearts are laid bare, worn raw, and loved in spite of all their imperfections in this incredibly human story about the power of love and acceptance. If you are looking for a little sizzle with a lot of heart and passion this is one to check out.

Ten years ago conservative Seattle cop Todd Keenan let loose of his sexual control and discovered his need to dominate during a life changing fling with rocker-chick neighbor Erin Brown. Erin, comfortable with her need to submit and live on the edge, was honest about who and what she was with herself and others. Todd admired the quality in the 'little freak' but shamed at the extreme desires and needs he discovered in himself.

Ten years later the tables turn on the pair when Todd returns to Seattle and his family looking for a new beginning after a failed marriage and near fatal shooting. Having come to terms with who he is and what living a half life has cost him, he eagerly jumps at a second chance with Erin. Although life dealt her mega MTV rock star success, Erin has also experienced life altering tragedy. Unable to trust herself and others, Erin finds comfort in Todd's need to control and care for her. In his arms the healing begins.

The two soon find Ben, Todd's best friend and partner, brings a sense of rightness, completing them both.  Together the three endeavor to find bliss in a conservative cop community and the ability to move beyond the demons of the past into the joy of the future.

I commend Lauren Dane for spending the time needed to unravel the flaws of her characters and reveal their humanity.  The characters, their pain, and their relatable joy are the gold in this story.  At times the pace seemed a little slow and there were events that I had to reflect on to see the value added to the entire piece. It is through many of these innocuous events that bonds are formed and personalities revealed.  It is the small moments that allow the love to blossom and the healing to occur and for myself as a reader to invest in the characters.

If you are on the prowl for a heart-warming story with hawt lovin', great food, a big family, and enough testosterone to power the eastern coast take a look at Laid Bare by Lauren Dane.

Exclusive Peek: Two Lovers for Molly by Lynn LaFleur

When I came up with the idea for Lavender Lace, it was to be one long novel with the three heroines’ stories woven together. My editor at Ellora’s Cave suggested I write three books instead so each of the heroines could have their own story. I thought that was an excellent idea.

Two Lovers for Molly was supposed to be a short novella, barely 25,000 words, to wrap up the series. Molly, Julian and Lane decided I couldn’t tell their story is so few words. My book ended up almost twice as long as I’d originally planned. There had to be more backstory, more plot, and definitely more sex. I listened to them (doesn’t every author listen to her/his characters?) and they were right. I’m very proud of how Two Lovers for Molly turned out. I hope my readers enjoy it.

Exclusive Excerpt:

He laughed again, enjoying their banter. He watched her take a long sip of her latte. “Why didn’t you call me?”

Her gaze flew back to his. Slowly she set her mug back on the table. All evidence of humor disappeared from her face. “I wanted to see you again first, to make sure…”

He waited, but she didn’t complete her sentence. “To make sure of what?”

She hesitated for several moments. “To make sure you’d really come back here.”

“Did you think I wouldn’t?”

“Julian, you’re a hunk. I don’t usually attract men as handsome as you.”

“I don’t believe that.” He looked at her hair, her face, her breasts, then back into her eyes. “I thought you were pretty the first time I saw you and you’re even more so today. Your hair is different, and your makeup. You look…hot.”

Her smile returned, this time with a touch of embarrassment. “A gal can’t ask for a better compliment than that.”

Pushing aside his cup, he reached across the table and laid his hand over hers. “Have dinner with me tomorrow night.”

“I’d like that,” she said softly.

He rubbed his thumb across the back of her hand, savoring her soft skin. A scattering of freckles on her hand matched the ones on her nose and cheeks. He wondered if she had freckles all over her body. “We can go out, or you can come to my place. I’m a great cook.”

It delighted him to see the humor return to her eyes. “Frozen dinners your specialty?”

He chuckled. “Actually, my mom is Italian and she taught me how to cook. I can whip up dishes that are so good they’ll make you cry.” He slid his thumb over her hand again. “Would it make you uncomfortable to come to my apartment?”

She shook her head. “Not at all.”

“Do you have any paper and a pen?”

Molly dug in her tote again and produced the items he requested. “I’m still unpacking stuff,” he said as he wrote his address on the paper. “I don’t start my new job until Monday, so hopefully I can get my place organized before you come over tomorrow.”

“I don’t mind if there are boxes stacked around.”

“I mind.” He handed the paper and pen back to her. “Do you still have my cell number?”

She nodded.

“How about six-thirty? We can have a glass of wine, then eat about seven.”

“That’ll be perfect. I get off work at five.”

Julian glanced at his watch. “Your friends should be here shortly, so I’ll go. Will you be here tomorrow morning?”

“Yes.”

“I’ll see you then.”

She smiled. “Okay.”

He picked up his trash and headed for the door, glancing over his shoulder at her twice before he reached the exit. He liked how quickly he and Molly had clicked. That had never happened to him with a woman. Usually it took time to find out if he wanted to get to know a woman better. A few minutes with Molly and he knew for sure that he wanted more time with her.

A lot more time.

"Rich in detail, scorching love scenes, and the possibility of love everlasting and eternal life"

Orphaned at a young age and losing her grandmother at age seventeen, Nissa learned to be indepenedent and street-smart. She also knows what she wants, and what she wants is to be a part of the vampire sex club, Midnight Playground, to be the recipient of the Seeking Kiss (where vampires would take blood) and, if she were lucky, the Turning Kiss (to become a vampire, one of them). She was given the chance when a friend sponsored her entry. Almost immediately, two gorgeous vampires, Hex and his master Aleron, sought her out. Soon she finds herself falling for one of them.

From the first page, I was captivated. Eden Bradley's prose and descriptions of the vampires and the club were rich in detail, making me feel I was really there. Also, there is something compelling and attractive about a woman who knows what she wants and who does all things possible to get it, even to the point of risking all.

I don't think though that Nissa's fascination with vampires was ever explained. Why this obsession to enter the vampire sex club? Maybe as a place to belong, since she'd been virtually alone from a young age? However, the question didn't really bother me as I read along, ready to be swept into the fantasy, until this bit of conversation came along:

She realized she was naked. And that Hex was lying beside her. When she turned her head his dark gaze was on her face.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you." He reached out, drew one finger along her jaw. "But I can't stop looking at you. You've been so beautiful these past hours as you slept."

She didn't know what to say in response.

Er, was she not beautiful when she was awake? However, we were told that she is, as both Hex and Aleron couldn't stop telling her how beautiful she was.

Anyway...

I like the twist in this story though. I'm not sure if the next would be a spoiler, so just in case... BEGIN SPOILER I thought for sure this would be a permanent menage, but no. The love only exists between Hex and Nissa, while Aleron suffers from a powerful love that ended when his beloved died from old age. But of course, love doesn't die that easily and Aleron still loves. I'm sure we'll see more of him in the next books. This reminds me of the Three Kinds of Wicked series over at another publisher. END SPOILER The sex scenes are hot and scorching, but I wish we could see more romance between the characters to justify the great and powerful love they felt.

Exclusive Peek: Honoring the Goddess by Madison Blake

Honoring the Goddess
By Madison Blake
All Rights Reserved
Genre: Erotic Romance, GLBT, Menage
Available from Ellora's Cave on August 13

Summary from Author:

Lissana was horrified to find she was still hot for Tragan years after she’d sworn off him, hating him for the way he dumped her sister.  Not only that, but he had even taken her childhood nemesis Dalin as his mate. But she couldn’t control the way her body reacts to both men, nor could she discount the ecstasy she discovered in their arms one sex-drenched night. Try as she might, she couldn’t avoid them, for the Goddess had grouped them together for the ritual that was supposed to bring her back to her people.

Tragan and Dalin themselves set out to batter down Lissana’s defenses every chance they get, because she completed their triad, the tribe’s opinions be damned. Not only would they not allow the dissident tribe members to tear them apart, but the triad may be the crucial key to honor the Goddess the way she wanted.

Note:  This book contains male-male bonding, three-way bonding with a female, and a scene with multiple partners.

Exclusive Excerpt: (Warning! Explicit material below.)

Mists shrouded Lissana, obstructing her vision. Even the light from the blue moon overhead couldn’t penetrate the thick fog. Yet she knew she had reached the middle of the Clearing and there was nothing to hinder her from dancing out her desires, her frustration and her confusion.

Unlike her dream, the music ringing in her head was wild and urgent and the drum beat loud and deep in her blood. She threw herself into the dance, shifting with untamed, jerky movements that were, strangely, still in rhythm to the forceful pounding of the music in her. She spun and leaped and twirled, her heart pumping hard to support her motions. She stomped her feet, digging her toes into the cool earth and luxuriating in the sensation of the porous soil, the life-giver. She waved her arms into the air, her body swaying, bending, gyrating.

BOOM-ka-BOOM-ba-ba-BOOM-BOOM.

She danced for Goddess knew how long and soon, she became aware of nothing but the music in her veins urging her onward, propelling her to continue dancing. Her movements flowed from one to the next. Time and space took on a surreal quality, as though she were dreaming and watching someone else.

Someone joined her from behind—a man, from his scent, feral and sharp. And another one came from the left—his odor gentler than the first and a little uncertain. Their musks were somewhat familiar, but she didn’t want to think who they could be. Tonight was for feeling, for getting lost in the dance. Her blood heated from their nearness and her soul rose in joyous abandon when they slipped into the dance as though they’d been there from the start and they picked up the rhythm as though they could hear the same music that she did.

She had never felt so alive.

The drumbeat increased in urgency, the music layering with subtle nuances.

The dance changed, becoming sexual.

Both men moved nearer and her breath caught at the scorching heat blasting her from two sides. Still, she didn’t stop dancing. The first man plastered his front against her back and he ran his hands down the sides of her body, learning her shape, then up again to cup her breasts. Desire lanced its way down to her pussy and she bumped her buttocks back against him, inviting him to grind his hard cock against her.

She moaned when he did, the lust spreading outward from the center of her pussy. A slight breeze blew, rustling the leaves of the trees that surrounded the clearing, the sound prodding them onward. Their dance became teasing and erotic, Man engaging Woman in movements as old as the land. Their breathing turned shallow, manifesting in small puffs of air in the mists. Though the night was cold, she was burning so hot she felt she might explode soon.

The man behind her played with her nipples as she continued her sinuous movements meant now to excite him. She tasted his raw need in the air and sensed the way his interest sharpened. His hips didn’t let up on the delicious slow grinding of his cock against her buttocks. Her hunger grew and built and spiraled, making her ache so much the pain was almost unbearable.

The second man stepped in front of her, his lanky frame slim in the moonlight. The taste of his mouth burst open the primal lust she’d thus far kept in check, which flooded her veins in an overpowering deluge. Her senses were magnified—every caress stirred her, every stroke incited her passion, every gasp and groan goaded the rhythmic slams of her buttocks against the man behind her.

She should leave now, while they were otherwise occupied. She turned to go—

And found she couldn’t.

She didn’t want to.

Enthralled by the sight in front of her, she stood rooted to the spot, immobile, frozen as she watched the two men make love with a ferocity that called to her. A wave of pure unadulterated hunger hit her and her lust rose up in answer, filling her body with unfulfilled desire. Her blood burned and slammed through her veins, igniting fires all over.

The lovers kissed and caressed with wild, vicious heat. She started and moaned when invisible hands stroked her as well—down her back in a long smooth glide, then cupping her buttocks, the same way Stallion was cupping Adamas’. She experienced sensuous rubs on her belly, easing the heavy ache, then lower, lower, until a phantom hand was teasing her pussy, the same way Adamas was rubbing his hand along Stallion’s powerful cock.

What the hell was happening? How was it that she could feel both their touches?

Painful and urgent hunger etched on his face, Stallion snarled and wrestled Adamas to the ground. A white, solid pallet appeared out of nowhere under Adamas’ buckling knees. Adamas moved fast for a man in the grip of a terrible lust. He must’ve pulled the cot from somewhere, maybe even under the bed she had been sitting on earlier.

Like the horse for which she’d likened him to, Stallion poised to plunge into Adamas, his massive cock rigid at the entrance of his lover’s hole.

Her breath stuck in her throat.

He was…beautiful. Magnificent.

REVIEW: My Lady's Pleasure by Alice Gaines

ISBN 978-1-60310-469-2
Series: Three Kinds of Wicked anthology
Genre: Erotic Romance, Historical Romance, Menage a Trois

"Hot, sweet and very romantic. Perfect love story to curl up with on a rainy day."

When Viking invaders overran Castle Randmead, Lady Josalyn had no choice but to surrender, not if she wanted to save what remained of her people. She didn't want to be attracted to the Viking leader Ulric, but he affected her in ways she thought only her ideal English prince would. To secure the holdings and the people's approval, Ulric sought to marry Josalyn, but he knew from the moment he set eyes on her, he's also attracted to her and wanted her in his bed.

But Josalyn was shy, a virgin and from her actions, showed that she wasn't particularly predisposed toward Ulric. Hence, when a traveling bard Trey offered his services with potions that would help Ulric win his bride in exchange for the pleasure of joining their marriage bed, Ulric couldn't refuse...

This story is part of the Three Kinds of Wicked anthology, where Trey, as part of his punishment, had to travel through time uniting lovers before he could be reunited with his own love, Sage. Though we see things from Trey's point of view only at the end, that part was written so well that I really feel for him, the hope that must sustain him in order to have the energy to go on making love matches for other people while his own love languished elsewhere. And though he gets to particpate in menages with the couples in all the stories in the anthology, I feel he is not happy and that he'd rather be with his love. (Yay! I just received the conclusion of this anthology, which is Trey's story in my inbox! Thanks to Red Sage for the review copy, and of course, to Carole who forwarded it to me.)

Josalyn is a true lady of the castle and we can see this in her relationship with her people and the way they looked up to her. No wonder Ulric sought to win her, but being a straightforward Viking, he didn't know how to woo her with romance. Yet, I feel she's a good match for Ulric, because when Trey tried to court her with romantic gestures, her reactions were very pragmatic, very like Ulric. Though she may think she wants romance, what she really wants is Ulric himself.

For all his brash ways, Ulric is rather sweet, especially when he displays his uncertainty with regards to his wife. He's also the perfect husband in that he sought to give his wife whatever she wants, to make her happy. So, when he thought she wants romance, he gave her Trey and his courtly ways. Now, who wouldn't want a hero like that? Two men to give you all the attention you need. Yum. The climactic scene toward the end was rather heartwrenching at the start for him, but it left him in no doubt who his wife really wants.

Alice Gaines writes a hot yet sweet historical romance about two people who fell in love and were right for each other, but needed to take a detour that would open their eyes to what they really want.

"A must-read sequel!"

Some months have passed since the events in the stairwell. Cassie, Aiden and Leopold have set up house together. Well, at least Aiden and Leopold have, because Cassie has so far resisted moving into Aiden's home. Moreover, she's not fully into the relationship as the men are, and she's afraid that her officemates and landlady would know of her unique situation and judge her. There's also the matter of her job at the law firm. Aiden, meanwhile, is having problems of his own concentrating on his schoolwork, as he tries to divide time between homework and his lovers.

This sequel to Another Night, Another Dream looks into the problems the characters face as they try to make their menage a trois work. I think too few of the menages out there touch on this realistic situation, such as how would a person deal with being in a menage while living in a predominantly couple-oriented society? Especially a person like Cassie, whose work rely on her having a traditional image. I guess, the real question here is: Would the love she feels for Aiden and Leopold be able to enable her to overcome her reservations and make her ready and willing to take the plunge? How would love and being in a menage a trois affect and change each one of them?

I really enjoyed Mechele Armstrong's take on this situation, and I feel the resolution of the questions is realistic and achievable. Though it only merited a one-line mention, I especially like the way they help Aiden with his homework. This would have been a very delicious scene, I think. I originally thought that since Cassie worked in a law firm and Aiden is taking up law, the eventual solution would be for them to open a company together, but no, Ms. Armstrong surprised me in this. It's great to see the characters changing and evolving and growing in this story, but this in no way detracted from the hot chemistry among them. If anything, it's gotten even hotter and their passion simply sizzles off the pages, especially with that light bondage scene.

"Scorching hot, unbelievable sexual tension!"

Shelli Madison enjoyed her deep and close friendships with Adrian Greene and Ethan Hunter, and she couldn't be happier when the two men fell in love with each other. However, one night at her company's dinner opened her eyes and heart to new feelings about her best friends. But Shelli was torn by her lust for them, as she didn't want to lose their friendships. Until the night the men forced her hand and engaged her in a delicious game that Shelli couldn't, and had no wish to, resist.

Ms Madison keeps me in tenterhooks all throughout the book! She creates these believable characters and places them in angst-and-sexual-tension filled situations that has me with my eyes glued to my laptop as I scrolled down to read as fast as I could (after I ran to the freezer for some ice cubes, of course). Adrian and Ethan are amazingly hot and hunky, and the way they try to seduce Shelli... Whew! I wish I were in her shoes. Ms Madison also imaginatively creates an erotic version of the game Chutes and Ladders (or Snakes and Ladders) and I know I'll never look at that game the same way ever again.

If there's a sequel, I'm getting it. In fact, I'm looking forward to reading Ms. Madison's other books.

"Sexy and sizzling hot, full of emotions and angst"

Years ago, Colton left Michipi on Settler's Mine for reasons of his own, despite the fact that she was his mate. Now, with another mate (Larkin) in tow, he's come back to claim her. Having her heart broken when he left, Michipi didn't dare believe Colton's promises again and it seemed her worst fears came true when, in giving her and Larkin time to bond, they couldn't find Colton anywhere afterwards...

Mechele Armstrong writes sizzling hot intimate scenes with the emotional development to back it up. Though Michipi felt betrayed by Colton's leaving years ago, deep within her, she still loved him and longed for her mate. Thus, his re-appearance rendered her with conflicting emotions, especially when she realized he'd found another mate on his travels. I like that though she was eventually convinced with his good intentions when he left her before (I won't reveal why so you can enjoy the story), she was understandably hurt and doubtful when he disappeared once again. Michipi, as a heroine, is strong yet flawed, and her deficiency is one which we can all empathize with as love brings with it the heights of ecstasy and the lows of uncertainty and doubt.

Overall, the story is enjoyable, with its mix of romance and action. I haven't read books 1 to 4 of this series and this in no way detracted from my enjoyment. That said, I would've loved to know more about Larkin. He is refreshingly simple about love and how a mate should behave and I think, naive, because some things cannot be so easily forgiven and forgotten.

Blurb from Publisher's website:

Colton returns to Settler’s Mine searching for his mate who he’d abandoned years before. He’d been on his way earlier, but once he and Larkin mated, they couldn’t keep their hands to themselves and it delayed his trip.

Michipi has made a new life for herself at Settler’s Mine and doesn’t want to trust Colton again, no matter how sincere he seems. Especially with his new mate receiving all the perks of the heartstone glow that she never got.

While Michipi enjoys being the subject of being two men’s desires and what they have to offer, however good they both are she can’t get past Colton’s past betrayal and denies the future of their mating. When an old enemy resurfaces to make an attempt on Colton's life, Michipi is forced to realize that she needs both men in her life. But has the knowledge come too late, and at too high a cost?

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices, menage (m/m/f with homoerotic content).

Exclusive Excerpt (provided by the author):

"You look delectable." Larkin set down his bag and started over to her.

"Doesn't she?" Colton's eyes ate her up. He'd hardly been able to stop touching or talking to them since the ordeal. It was as if he'd been about to lose all that he wanted. That had made life that much sweeter.

For her too.

"What did you bring back?" She stood up from the chair in front of the mirror. The room had a dresser, night table, and a mirror over a second smaller table. A bed. Mustn't forget the bed.

"Some fruits. Pasta." Larkin stopped and went back to the bag. "You must be starving." He dumped the contents on the dresser.

She was. "You guys must be too."

None of them had eaten in a while.

Colton's low voice almost startled her. "I'm only hungry for one thing." His stormy, passionate gaze rocked her.

She met his stare. "What's that?"

"Both of you."

Her heart skipped several beats. "Oh?"

He nodded.

"Oh." She closed her eyes for a second as swirling emotions overwhelmed her. She wanted to be the source of such passion for them both, and apparently she was. She'd never expected to hear it announced like this. So blatantly.

Larkin grabbed a fruit from the dresser and moved to the table. He pulled out a knife and started peeling.

Colton stared at him with a frown. "What are you doing?"

"Getting ready." Larkin didn't pause in his actions.

"For what? A feast?" Colton's voice snapped. He was on a thin trigger. They all were.

She smoothed down her skirt so that the wrinkles didn't show as much. "Maybe some food will do us all good." Her stomach twitched. If she'd be able to eat anything. She was suddenly nervous, and the food seemed a good way to put off the inevitable.

Colton's face fell, but he nodded his assent. Blew out a breath and straddled a seat nearby where Larkin worked.

Larkin grinned. "I think we can combine some things." He motioned with a finger to Colton.

Colton's eyebrow rose.

She gasped with the dawning of comprehension. Surely he didn't have in mind what it seemed? At least to her? Her mind must be wicked to be going down this path. Must be the influence of Colton and Larkin.

Larkin finished peeling the large red fruit. "It's a Darjeeling. Sort of tastes like an apple if you've ever had one. But it's much softer. Pliable." He slowly wound the knife around the middle. "It does have a core, though." He cut out the entire midsection, making a perfect hole in the fruit. "Where certain things will fit."

A large hole in a large fruit.

Where certain places of a man's anatomy would fit perfectly.

"You've got to be kidding me." She ran a hand through her hair, which remained down.

Colton looked back at her. "I don't think he is." He blew out another fast breath. "He's inventive. You'll find that out."

"I'm not kidding."

She looked to Larkin as he began peeling the second fruit. "You want me.to eat.that.from." She couldn't bring herself to say the word.

***Adult Warning*** Only those 18 years old and above may continue to read.

"Our cocks? Yep, I do." Larkin grinned again. A full-bodied one that curved his whole face. "It will get you some food and get us a blowjob." He waggled his eyebrows at both her and Colton.

Colton shook his head and shrugged at Michipi. A light smile graced his lips. He stood up and began undoing his pants. His cock would be free momentarily.

Her mouth went dry. She'd get to see him again. Larkin too. And get to taste. She tittered. She'd only given oral sex a couple of times with Colton a long time ago. Would she remember how?

She was going to do this. Have two men at the same time.

Her mates.

The men she couldn't go wrong with.

Her body drooped in relaxation.

Colton took off his boots and dropped his pants.

Yeah, he was as big and hard as she remembered. Beautiful. Dripping. And she'd soon be tasting

REVIEW: Another Night, Another Dream by Mechele Armstrong

ISBN 978-1-59632-990-4
(c) August 2009, Loose Id

"A hot, sumptuous read!"

Cassie was expecting to spend a fabulous birthday with her girlfriend, but a bitchy comment sent her fleeing to the back staircase, forgetting that it's usually locked after office hours. However, the gorgeous stripper Aden and his bodyguard Leo followed her and got locked in as well. When Cassie's claustrophobic tendencies caused her to start panicking, the men had to devise ways to distract her...

Mechele Armstrong is a whiz at creating sexual tension. Love, love, love the truth or dare game they played, and the tension there was so thick you could cut it with a knife. After the incredible tension, the actual act itself was something of a let down.

Another thing I like is that the characters have depth, that each has his/her own fears and insecurities, and that in opening up to the others, instead of being ridiculed, they find strength and acceptance and the first step toward healing.

However, I would've liked the story better should Cassie's change of heart be portrayed. As it is, although we're told why Cassie had a 180 degree turn, I believe the impact would be greater were we shown the process that Cassie had undergone. Still, Mechele Armstrong is a master storyteller and I'll be seeking out her other books.
